Welsh Funeral services for Mr. Albert Lee Mallett, 82 will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 in the United Methodist Church of Roanoke with Rev. Darrell Hieronymus officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery of Welsh under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday visitation will be at the Methodist Church of Roanoke from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mr. Mallett died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at 6:55 a.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and was a member of the Methodist Church of Roanoke. Mr. Mallett was a World War II Army veteran, a member of the VFW Post 3686 and the American Legion Post 19. He was a retired driller with the oil and gas industry. Mr. Mallett is survived by his wife; Rose L. Mallett of Lake Arthur, a daughter; Theresa Meche of Welsh, three sons; Allen Mallett and wife Felicia of Welsh, David Mallett and wife Brenda of Welsh and Ronald Mallett and wife Jamie of Jennings, a brother; Wallace Mallett and wife Advelia of Welsh, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Allen Mallett, David Mallett, Brian Meche, Todd Mallett, Dewey Sonnier and Lawrence Mallett. Honorary pallbearers will be Kade Mallett, Kevin Meche and A. J. Mallett.
