JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Adela LeBlanc Jardell, 94, will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., today, Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 p.m., today, Friday. Mrs. Jardell died at 1:55 A.M., Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the Jeff Davis Living Center. Mrs. Jardell was a lifelong resident of Jennings. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Court Mother Cabrini Catholic Daughters, Jeff Davis Fair Board, Ladies Home Demonstration/LSU Extension Service, Grand Marshall of the Jeff Davis Fair Parade (with her hat on) and was a honorary member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was devoted to her church and family. Survivors include two daughters, Adela Agnes Leger and husband Joseph of Crowley, Marie Ann Joseph and husband Dalton of Georgetown, TX; two sons, Leon Thomas Jardell and A. J. (Sharon) Jardell both of Jennings; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Colistie Sonnier LeBlanc; her husband, Armany Jardell and one sister, Laura (Eli) Miller.
