Ada Louella Lopez

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Louella Forestier Lopez, 77, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. A rosary led by Carol Lopez will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today, Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Lopez died at 9:31 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the Jennings Guest House. She was a longtime employee and retired from A & P, she was owner and operator of Lopez Automotive for 15 years, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Lopez was her happiest when she was with her family. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Gary Hatton of Lumberton, TX, Karen Gary Fisher and husband Joe of Vidor, TX; three step-daughters, Shirleen Vincent and husband Voorhies of Jennings, Patricia Girouard and husband Nick of Vidor, TX, Kathy Hulin and husband Ricky of Jennings; two sons, Carl Gary and partner Tom of Houston, TX, Scottie Lopez and wife Vanessa of Jennings; one step-son, Edmond Lopez, Jr. of Jennings; one sister, Sybil Istre of Lake Arthur; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 15 step-great grandchildren. Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her parents, Emmanuel and Helen Mouton Forestier of Welsh; her husband Edmond Jim Lopez, Sr., two sons, Darryl Gary and Greg (Red) Gary, and one sister Elta Jean Daniel. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Lopez, Carlton Istre, Jr., Eddie Istre, Mike Vincent, Tommy Vincent and Shane Hulin. Honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Istre and Joshua Istre.
