William Richard McDonald

Lake Arthur Funeral services for Mr. William Bill Richard McDonald, 86 will be held at the First Baptist Church of Lake Arthur on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Rev. Jason Brady officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Mr. McDonald died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was a native of Lake Charles and resident of Lake Arthur. Mr. McDonald was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Arthur and served in the US Navy as a Third Class Radioman. He retired from Superior/Mobil Oil as a Safety Director. Mr. McDonald is survived by two daughters; Marilyn Sue McDonald of Sweet Lake, La. And Bonny Jean M. McGee of Lake Arthur, La., two sons; James William McDonald of Westwood, CA and Patrick Phillip McDonald of Lafayette, La., a brother; Robert Lee McDonald, Sr. of Westlake, La., three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Lee Ayo McDonald, a grandson; Nash Parker Lacombe. a great granddaughter; Abigail McDonald and a brother Patrick McDonald. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Lake Arthur or the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home of Jennings.

  5. What a joy it was to have known Mr. Bill. Always a smile on his face. He would make the boys paper airplanes during church 🙂 He will be missed greatly. My sympathies to each of you.
