Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Benoit Guillory, 74 of Jennings will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Guillory will begin on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.

Mrs. Guillory was born in Jennings on February 4, 1947.  She was a homemaker. Her family was everything to her and she enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.  She also enjoyed listening to music, dancing, scrapbooking, board games, particularly Scrabble and Bingo and crossword puzzles.  Mrs. Guillory was known for her beautiful vegetable and flower gardens.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Kirk (Olite) Guillory of Jennings and Brad Guillory of Lake Arthur; daughter Melissa Guillory of Greensburg, KY; grandchildren, Jacob (Sydni) Guillory, Allison Guillory, Hali (Josh) Philips, Blake Brandenburg, Jasmine Guillory, Brooke Guillory, Hunter Guillory, and Paisleigh Hebert; three great grandchildren, Lincoln Guillory, Audrie Guillory, and Zaeleigh Hebert; and one sister, Ann Hebert.

Mrs. Guillory was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Guillory; her parents, Kelly and Louise Benoit; four sisters, Laura Landry, Lilian Theriot, Shirlene Benoit and Wilma Parker; and three brothers, Worley Benoit, Abel Benoit and David Benoit.
