Stanford Joseph "Star" Dugas

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Stanford J. “Star” Dugas, 69, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 in the Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery. Mr. Dugas died at 1:45 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his residence. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Dugas lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and was a retired tool pusher in the oil industry. He loved going to the casino and spending time with his family. Survivors include one daughter, Monica LeGros and husband Pat; one son, Gregory Dugas and wife Nancy all of Jennings; two sisters, Betty Deshotel and Joyce Trahan both of Lake Arthur; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Dugas is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Mary Benoit Dugas and his brother Olan Dugas.
