Memories Timeline

  1. We wish we could be there with you to share your grief and give you hugs. With so much love, we have you in our hearts and prayers!

  2. Louisiana Beta of Pi Beta Phi mourns the loss of our sister, Sandra Houssiere Patins son, Sacha and extends our love and support during this difficult time.

  3. The only thing I keep thinking about it is how incredibly happy you and Sacha were when you were together. Your love for one another was obvious to anyone who met you. We are so so very sorry for your loss.

  4. Sasha Patin is nothing short of a mans kind of man. You would never have known that he was sick. When I first met , DeDe and Sasha, you could feel his energy. (Both actually!) Strong powerful and sincere; truly remarkable and very, very memorable. Nothing short of unique. An example of true human kindness and never wanting you to worry about him, I distinctly remember the last time talking with them both. It was on the Segafredo rooftop on a Sunday, not too long ago. Knowing the situation, I asked how they were doing, they knew what I meant (meaning Sasha specifically). With glowing smiles and an infectious Sasha attitude, I was told that everything was fine now, that there were no more problems and asked about me and how my day was. I remember first thinking, Great, thats totally awesome… so glad to hear it. But as the day went on, I recalled the earlier conversation that I had with them both. How could this have been? Sashas attitude on the rooftop that day was so overpoweringly positive. Ive though about this several times since then but when, I read Dedes recent post about his passing back into the Universe, I realize just how strong he really was. Sasha never want me (or anyone) to feel or be sad or sorry for him and his situation. I honestly have never seen someone as strong willed as he. In my book, Sasha will be remembered as one of the absolute, most positive individuals that Ive ever met in my life. Im honored to have had the opportunity to know him. Surely his energy and attitude will live on with the people that he has touched. DeDe, anything at all that I, or we can do to help, please dont hesitate to reach out to me. My honor to do anything and everything I can. With much love for you both, …B
