Lake Arthur Funeral services for Mrs. Roselyn Marie Hay, 72 will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in Hebert Cemetery in Hecker, LA under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. The visitation on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 will be from 8 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Hay died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 7:18 p.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Hay was a native of Lake Arthur and lifelong resident of the Jennings/Lake Arthur area. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, Yahtzee and Skip-Bo with her dear friends Larthy and Faye. She loved spending time with her family, sewing and cooking. She is survived by her three daughters, Reesa (Richard) Lege of Gueydan, Ronya (Chad) Guillory of Sulphur and Rana (Mahlon) LeBlanc of Lake Arthur; a son, Ross Broussard of Lake Arthur, two sisters Ruth Conner of Jennings and Catherine (Raymond) Meaux of Lake Arthur; six brothers; Harold (Charlene Hay of Lake Arthur, Ray (Jana) Hay of Little Chenier, Kenny Hay of Lake Charles, Jamie Hay of Hecker, John and Tony Hay of Lake Charles; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hay was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Richard Broussard, her parents, Henry Hadley and Pearl Marie Buller Hay, two brothers, Wayne and Ricky Hay and a grandson Ryan Guillory.

Please know I truly loved knowing Rody and she always made me laugh and I enjoyed hearing her laugh too! Rana, I will always remember the times we shared with Rody at the office or passing by her house to check on her. I won't be able to make it to the funeral but I will be praying for all of you.   4. I pray for all the family of Aunty Roady. Though she was my Aunt by marriage she is a very special person in my heart. We shared a lot together. When my son was killed she sat beside me the whole time at the funeral home and held my hand. God surely has called an AWESOME angel home. I will NEVER forget you Aunt Roady.
