  1. I was sad to learn of Michael's passing even at this late date. I served with Michael at Fort Polk, LA in 1968-69. We were cooks in the mess hall in Company E-3-5. He was a very friendly guy and I enjoyed my time with him at Polk. I never enjoyed fried eggs until Michael taught me how to fry one. He was a good guy. We had a lot of fun together working in that mess hall. I offer his wife Eltry and the rest of his family my deepest sympathy on their loss.
