Kristina Joyce Mott, 47 of Iowa passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at home. Ms. Mott will be cremated under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Ms. Mott lived in the community for 2 ½ years. In her younger years she helped her grandparents run their “Burger House”. She was a volunteer firefighter for 5 years. She loved listening to all types of music and reading books.

She is survived by her daughters, Kala Jennings of Opelousas and Victoria Mott of Fenton as well as a son, Adam Mott of Fenton. Other survivors include three grandchildren and her stepfather David Knauss of Fenton.

Preceding her in death were her parents Terry Cason and Elizabeth Atwell and her grandparents Chuck and Joyce Burton.

  3. My heart breaks for Krissy’s children, grandchildren, family and friends. I will be praying for them. I pray that they always remember how much she loved them and how proud she was to be their mom. The days ahead are going to be hard, but turn to God and let Him be your everything.

  5. Krissy was sister in law for 19 yrs. she was loving and kind person. She lovered her kids ands and grand babies more then anything. She will be missed and never forgotten.

  6. Adam, Tori, and family, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Krissy. We have so many fond memories of you guys being little, and our trip to New York, Adam, with you and your mom.   8. I am so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in knowing that soon God will reunite us with our loved ones that have fallen asleep in death. John 5: 28 says: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time when God will wipe out all death, suffering, mourning, outcry and pain forever, a time we can all look forward to. May the God of all comfort help you to endure during this difficult time.

  10. Dear Mott Family, I’m so sorry for your loss, Kristina seemed like such a lovely women, loved by so many. Find hope in the Scriptures, Isaiah 25:8 says “He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” God promises us a future here on earth where we can welcome back our loved ones, by means of a resurrection.
