Elvie "Mary" Teal

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Elvie Mary Tall Teal, 80, will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Monday; and 8:00 a.m., Tuesday until time of services. Mrs. Teal died at 6:10 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Teal was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Survivors include three daughters, Gloria (Alvin) Conner of Lake Arthur, Margaret (Kirk) Balfa of Eunice, Darlene Parsons of Jennings; two sons, Jerry Teal of Lake Arthur, Kenneth Teal of Lake Charles; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Teal was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Tall and Emillione LaPointe Faulk, her husband, Nelson Teal, three sons, Alfred, Edward and Gerald Teal, and one great-granddaughter, Morgan Dartez.
