  11. Gentle Ben is who I always thought of when I saw Ben or Benjamin I called him. I worked with Ben at PCD/ Citgo and he transferred to my unit after the Oxide Unit he was working in blew up! Ben was working the night the unit blew up and he led the operators out of the explosion scooping one up as he ran past him! I had the pleasure of sitting in a duck blind and watching a master at work with a duck call! Working the same shift as Benjamin we hunted together often and I always was eager to get in the blind with him again. Our math wasn’t that good and we were hunting around 1980 and 81 when the mallards were everywhere! We drifted apart when they shut our plant down and Benjamin started his career with Conoco and I moved over to Citgo’s Main Refinery. My heart goes out to his family and the loss of a GIANT!

  12. I remember him well. He was just an all around good guy. The kind you measure others against. Comes from a great family. My heart breaks for all of you.

  13. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I attended high school with Ben, and I remember him as a kind and gentle giant with a smile that could light up a room. May he Rest In Peace
