Memories Timeline

  1. Mrs. Hawkins was my favorite teacher! I had her the four years I was at Midland High. Class of 1974. My she rest in peace and my prayers are with her and her family.

  2. I really liked my visits when I'd bring my mom to visit Mrs. Barbara at Golden Age of Welsh and all the other times I'd see her. She'd say it was a treat when we'd go see her.

  3. My sympathies and blessings to Mrs. Hawkins’ family. I’ll always remember her from my 3 years at MHS. She took time with me and provided a motherly role model. She encouraged me to grow and step out of my shell. I have fond memories of our talks about college, and her time at spent at UC Berkeley.
I loved Home Ec and appreciated her mentoring, care and concern.
Thank you Mrs. Hawkins, you left a kind, loving, helpful, legacy to your students. May you rest in peace 🙏🏽❤️

  4. My condolences to her family. With many years that has passed before 1975 I have always remembered her at one time or another. I’m sure she will be greatly missed.

  5. Prayers for all the family and friends. Midland High School Class of 1968. She was my home room teacher/4 years Home Economics. I spent a week at her house one summer making apple pies and jelly… more fun than work.

  6. First I am very sorry for loss, but not her gain. She lived and loved for God. She was my Home Ec teacher for 4 yrs and FFA sponsor as well. Devoted her life to helping her girls be the best they could be. So grateful to have been one she took a liking too. Mrs. Hawkins enjoy your rewards, you did it right.

  7. She was an excellent teacher! She taught us many great skills! Praying for the family. She was such a lovely person.

  8. Oh the laughs we shared as we traveled together for 4 years from Jennings to Midland High. Those memories are great for me. Mrs. Hawkins loved her family and spoke of each frequently. May you find comfort at this time.
