 The family of Mr. Arthur William Johnson, 86 of Jennings sadly announce his passing on January 12, 2021 at the Southwest LA Veterans Home in Jennings, Louisiana.

Mr. Johnson was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 2, 1934. After high school he joined the Air Force and served his country honorably where he was stationed in Louisiana where he then started his family.  He also worked as an operator in a local refinery.

Mr. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Victoria (Ralph) Runge of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Eileen Johnson of Lake Charles; three sons, Kevin (DeeDee) Johnson of Hackberry, Kenneth Johnson of Florida and Kent (Brenda) Johnson of Pueblo, Colorado; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Helen Cook Johnson, his wife Bertha Duhon Johnson, and two sisters, Lillian Eldridge and Ann Lonardo.

Private graveside services are being arranged under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

  2. We just heard of your dad’s passing. We were his neighbors for seven years on Roxton. He was a very sweet man and a wonderful neighbor! I love to cut grass and my husband would tell me that I couldn’t keep up with Mr. Art! 😂 He was 81 at that time still doing his thing!
    May it bring you peace knowing he is reunited with your mom in Heaven!
